Under the golden Sicilian sun and against the mythic backdrop of Taormina’s ancient theater, Bvlgari unveiled Polychroma—a staggering new chapter in its high jewelry legacy. This kaleidoscopic celebration of color, culture, and craftsmanship wasn’t just a showcase—it was a symphony of stones, where the past and present danced in vivid, glittering harmony.
From the house that gave us the hypnotic Serpenti and the iconic Trombino, Polychroma pushes the envelope further—both in scale and spirit. Named after the Greek term for “many colors,” the collection embraces Bvlgari’s Mediterranean roots with flamboyant exuberance, nodding to the rich cultural mosaic of Sicily itself. A land once shaped by Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, and Normans, Sicily provides fertile ground for a house that has always reveled in cross-cultural beauty and maximalist design.
Bvlgari Polychroma
Indeed, Polychroma is Bvlgari at its most unapologetically extravagant: 600 pieces in total, with 250 entirely new creations—each more radiant and theatrical than the last. Among them, 60 belong to the brand’s “millionaire” tier, those breathtaking, one-of-a-kind showpieces destined to live in the annals of jewelry history.

One such marvel is the Gallery of Wonders, a curated quintet of high jewelry masterpieces. Here, time collapses in spectacular fashion: the Cosmic Vault necklace, inspired by Rome’s celestial skyline, evokes eternity with every sapphire-studded curve. But the true crown jewel is a reimagination of Elizabeth Taylor’s legendary sapphire necklace—only this time, Bvlgari doubles down. Literally. The center sapphire weighs in at a jaw-dropping 123.5 carats, surrounded by a halo of 331 sapphires and 13 cascading diamond drops. It is not a necklace—it’s a universe around the neck.

Equally arresting is the Polychromatic Bloom—a veritable bouquet of over 500 meticulously assembled components. At its heart lies a trio of cabochon-cut wonders: a 106.36-carat rubellite glowing with volcanic intensity, a verdant 55.52-carat peridot, and a twilight-hued 55.11-carat tanzanite. Together, they echo the wild Sicilian landscape—sun, earth, and sea crystallized into wearable art.

Yet Polychroma also honors the classics. Bvlgari’s beloved Trombino ring, first created in 1928 by Leonilde Bulgari, gets a bold new interpretation in Essence of Yellow. The signature silhouette remains, but this time the spotlight belongs to a rare 45-carat fancy vivid yellow diamond, its unusual emerald-Asscher cut offering a fresh architectural edge.

Then there’s the Magnus Emerald necklace—a piece so audacious it leaves the viewer breathless. At its core glows a 246-carat Colombian emerald, the largest Bvlgari has ever used. Styled as a dramatic sautoir, the necklace channels Old Hollywood grandeur, while paying homage to emerald’s timeless allure.
Bvlgari Polychroma on the Red Carpet
As expected, the collection made an early red-carpet appearance. Zendaya dazzled in Polychroma at the Met Gala, while A$AP Rocky—never one to shy from sartorial risks—paired a pear-shaped ruby necklace and a medley of high jewelry rings with effortless ease. Together, they embodied the collection’s ethos: unbound by convention, electrified by individuality.
“In Polychroma, we see the soul of Bvlgari laid bare,” notes Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of the Bvlgari Group. “It’s an homage to our Roman origins, our fierce commitment to color, and a relentless passion for pushing creative boundaries.”
And push, they do. With Polychroma, Bvlgari doesn’t just create jewelry—it crafts entire worlds. Each gemstone sings with centuries of history, each setting whispers of mythology, and each piece dares you to see beauty not in monochrome—but in full, blazing color.
